1) Cricks lead all game as Gomber outduels Pivetta. 2-1 in the 8th , Nootbaar delivers a 2-run go ahead single off of 3bX to finally put NWP up 3-2. But Caratini leads off the 9th with a solo shot off closer Pressly and two single 1-4 singles later, the Crickets are on the way to what ultimate is a 5-run 9th. QCK 7-3. 2) Pigs blast three dingers and Glasnow and two relievers combine for 14-k 1-hit shutout, NWP 8-0. 3) 2 pig errors key a 6 run first and the rout is on, QCK 9-2. | 3 games | |

G1: Glasnow threw 6 no-hit innings before HAL yanked him. Bryan Rocchio broke up the no-no off Reynaldo Lopez in the 8th. Wander & Pete went deep. NWP, 5-1. G2: Canning threw 7 strong, giving up only 3H, 2BB, and 1R, whiffing 11. Crickets collected 14 hits. QCK, 7-1. G3: Ouch! Brandon Bielak gave up 6R on 7H and 7BB in 5IP. Outman went 2 for 3 with a BB and 3R. NWP, 7-3. G4: Tied at 4 after 11. T12: Pigs scored 3 on hits by McMahon and Gimenez. B12: Crix loaded the bases with 1 out, but PH Caratini grounded into a DP to end it. NWP, 7-4 in 12. | 4 games | |

NY takes games 1 and 2 - the "doubleheader" - by a combined score of 17-0. Roansy Contreras, he of the real life 6.59 ERA and 1.57 WHIP, throws a 3-hit complete-game shutout in the second game - an indication of tough times for these Toros. Durham takes an early 3-0 lead in game 3 thanks to a Teoscar Hernandez bomb, but Bailey Falter-ed and the DTO pen (by the way, Falter mopped up in relief in game 2 the game before. In fact, aside from the three starters, DTO made 16 pitching changes in the three games!) couldn't hold the lead and NYK scores seven unanswered runs to get the sweep, 7-3. | 3 games | |
